Eight Ideas In First Meeting
The centre of Bhilai marks its presence in the list of incubation centre in the startup India portal of the Indian Government. According to the Government Instruction, the first meeting of startup was held on Saturday in which state’s Eight startup companies from various cities presented their ideas to expert panel. In the expert panel Mr. S.Rajeev, Deputy Director MSME, Mr. J.C.Panigrahi, Lead Bank Manager of the district and Mr. M.G Bhaisare, Director Khadi Gram Udyog Sansthan Judged the feasibility of the business ideas presented by the young business personalities. They also explained about the scope of ideas which they linked.
MSME New Delhi Establishes Business Incubator At SSTC Bhilai
Shri Shankracharya Technical Campus (SSTC), Bhilai has established the First Business Incubator (BI) of Chhattisgarh under the scheme for support for entrepreneurial and managerial development of SMEs through incubators. The BI is recognized by Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Govt. of India, New Delhi, which is the nodal Ministry for the development of entrepreneurship and creation of self-employment. The main objective of the established BI is to promote emerging technological and knowledge based innovative ventures that seek the nurturing of ideas from professionals.
Any citizen of India with innovative business idea can now apply to Business Incubator at SSTC, Bhilai for support and mentoring. The support extended to the Incubatee could include support towards one or more of the following - the technology fee, guidance fee for mentors/handholding persons (for technology, intellectual property planning and business planning), hiring or leasing cost of machinery/equipment/instruments or related services, office facilities, infrastructural facilities (accommodation charges, utilities, etc.) and other project costs depending upon the needs of the Incubatee.
The local Managing Committee has been constituted for smooth operation of the BI. The committee comprises of Key Experts from MSME-DI Raipur, Members of industry associations, Financial Institutions, Academic and R&D Organizations, and successful entrepreneurs. Dr. P. B. Deshmukh, Director, SSTC Bhilai will be heading the local committee and Dr. R. N. Patel, Professor, SSTC, is serving as the member secretary of the Business Incubator. The aim of the BI is to incubate at least 8 micro enterprises and 2 small enterprises within a span of 3 Years. A total funding of Rs. 66.5 Lakhs will be made available as support from Govt. of India for implementation of the scheme. Anyone with an innovative and commercially viable idea/ product can download the application format (link: www.iedcssgi.org) and submit it to the BI; which will then be evaluated by the local managing committee. Once the proposal gets approved by the local committee, it will be forwarded to the MSME office, New Delhi for final approval. The fund for development of the prototype, training and other technological support will be released by the Central Government in stages as per the need of the applicant and successful commercialization of the idea.
