Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC)-SSTC
SSTC has established Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) with help of NSTEDB, Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India. We have proud privilege that the established center is the only center of its kind in Chhattisgarh. IEDCs are established in academic institutions having requisite expertise and infrastructure. The mission of the IEDC is to “Develop institutional mechanism to create entrepreneurial culture in academic institutions to foster growth of innovation and entrepreneurship among the faculty and students.
TCS Academic Interface Partner
SSTC has signed a MoU with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for conduction of Academic Seminars and Workshops for Students and Faculty Members. TCS Online Test and Examination Centre SSTC has largest facilities with more then 2400 terminals simultaneously using IT and Computing Infrastructure for conducting online TCS test such as GATE, IBPS, CAT, SBI, PSC & other state level recruitments.
IBM Centre of Excellence
The IBM Centre of Excellence at Shri Shakaracharya Technical Campus Bhilai was inaugurated on 10th December, 2010 with the mission to create generations of IT innovators who will take the Indian IT industry into the future. This is among 150 IBM Software Canters of Excellence all across India in more than 100 locations.
SAE India
SSTC students has been registered with the Society of Automotive Engineers India which is an affiliate society of SAE International as an Indian nonprofit engineering and scientific society.
Microsoft IT Academy
SSTC has established Microsoft IT Academy with software giant Microsoft Inc. Training and certification activities is conducted under this Academy.
Machine and Deep Learning Research Group
To enhance research and development activities; SSTC promotes collaborations with academics and industries for overall growth of the organization. In this regard a research group ASTUTE " Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence Skills", is constituted in collaboration with Bennett University for encouraging and initiating R&D activities in Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning domain.
Red Hat Academy
Red Hat Academy in SSTC was established on August, 2012 with an idea to make our students aware of Linux platform. This Academy provides training and certification program for faculty members and students; and enhances exposure and environment to learn current IT industry requirement.
Pearson Test Center
Pearson approved VUE test center provides online tests for management and other technical tests and certification examinations
Robotics Laboratory
This laboratory provides controlled conditions in which technical and scientific research, experiments and measurement may be performed in order to revolutionise the Robotics Industry. Students benefitted with this laboratory have been successfully participating Robotics competition at NASA USA for last two consecutive years.
IEEE Student Branch
Shri Shankracharya Technical Campus (SSTC), Bhilai, inaugurated its IEEE student branch on 7th October 2012, which is the first branch of IEEE in the state of Chhattisgarh. IEEE Student Branch SSTC aims to be a premier technical community, committed to the cause of spreading knowledge and fostering all round development of the student community. With continued emphasis on the conduction of high quality events reflecting the latest in technology, IEEE Student Branch, SSTC aims to create a pool of dedicated industry-oriented professionals. Some of the events organized by IEEE SSTC are Workshop on PLC/ SCADA drives and industrial visits, Essay, Poster & Logo design Competition , Workshop on MATLAB/Simulink, Quiz Competition, Workshop on Industrial automation (PLC, SCADA, Drives) etc.
NPTEL Lectures
Tutorials, Lectures and Video lectures of reputed institutes such as IITs and NITs are available in SSTC EDRP system that caters elearning, i-classes, online tests, online assignment and other teaching learning materials. The effectiveness of learning process is enhanced and empowered NPTEL video lectures wherein the students can study, watch and download lectures of various subjects of all the branches of Engineering
SIEMENS Industrial Drives & Automation Lab
Siemens is as an inventor, innovator and implementer of leading-edge technology enabled solutions operating in the core business segments of Industry, Energy, Healthcare, Infrastructure and Cities. SSTC with the help of SIEMENS established its Industrial Drives & Automation Lab on 21st October 2013. Siemens has been providing training courses for customers in the field of Automation & Drives through SITRAIN which offers specific courses designed for working professionals and students.
