Shri Shankaracharya Technical Campus, an insignia among the technical institutions in the region is the first College in Central India to be named after Adi-Shri Shankaracharya and blessed by all present Jagadgurus. This college was commissioned during the session 1999-2000 with the goal of providing undergraduate education in Engineering and Technology, a close interaction with industry, and a strong emphasis on research. The logo of the college highlights the Iconic line from the Vedas “ज्ञानदेव तू कैवल्यं” which means: Only through knowledge one attains liberation.
We offer a wide range of educational programs in the field of engineering and technology, management, computer application & pharmacy . All our seven engineering branches are research centre for the aspirants willing to do Ph.D. It is a matter of great pride that the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has awarded us Grade‘A’ and the National Board of Accreditation(NBA) has granted reaccreditation to all eligible UG programmes. We have a strong faculty base of highly qualified and renowned faculty members with more than 65 Ph.D holders and a good number of them are in the advance stage of completion of their doctoral work.
Innovation, Incubation projects, start-ups are one of the unique programe that we have started. Startups belonging to any category with innovative ideas are incubated here. Currently 100 startups are being incubated. Our faculties have excelled worldwide in the areas of Research and Patent; till now we have filed and published 100 patents in different research areas and the research papers have been published in indexed journals like ESCI, Scopus, Springer etc. Apart from these, around 50+ projects have been sponsored and granted under the banner of ATAL/TEQIP.
We also have the credit of organizing National level competitions like Hackathon, Ideathon, Makeathon, Toycathon under the banner of IIC,IEEE,MSME etc. We have been conducting National Level Hackathon for three consecutive years and were a nodal centre for Toycathon ‘2021. Our students have bagged first and third prize in Covathon’2021 organised by IIT Pallakad.
Apart from academics, SSTCians are also engaged in various social and philanthropic activities through its various professional bodies of students and National Service Scheme. SSTC is a place where we celebrate youth and exuberance and attempt to instill in students a sense of social responsibility, human values and concern for environment. We not only strive to train the students to become excellent scientists, technologists, thinkers and leaders of the society, but also help them to mould themselves into better human beings.
