A one day Rural Immersion Program was conducted at Chikhli Village by Faculty of Management Studies, Shri Shankaracharya Technical Campus. The program’s objective was to sensitize the budding managers and entrepreneurs of the institute towards the various schemes undertaken by the government in villages and to study and analyze their execution and effectiveness. The MBA students were provided with an opportunity to explore the rural markets and identify implementation gaps or business opportunities, which can help fill these gaps.
Dr. P.B.Deshmukh, Director, SSTC provided his insights about RURAL IMMERSION PROGRAM and its importance in today’s pedagogy. Mrs. Jaya Abhishek Mishra, Vice – President, SSTC congratulated FMS for organizing such programs for boasting up confidence of MBA students. Shri. I.P.Mishra, President, SGES congratulated FMS team for organizing this program for betterment of students.
The program began with a Nukkad Natak on “Good Touch Bad Touch”. The program included small surveys related to various government schemes with an intention of involvement of school teachers, students and villagers for obtaining effective responses and also some schemes were discussed by MBA faculties and MBA students to spread the awareness about cashless system, education system, digitalization and many more. The other part of the program conducted comprised of drawing competition for primary level under Ms. Nikita Upadhyay.
Best out of the Waste for Middle class students and Quiz competititon held for middle and higher level students under Ms. Lijy Susan. Mr. Pankaj Joge with his team mates conducted management games for class 9 and class 11 students. The program ended with a skit based on “Child Labour: Save the Children”. The prizes were distributed at the end of the program. The program was organized by Ms. Tanuka Bhattacharya and Mr. Bishwajeet Bhattarcharjee with support and guidance of Dr. Souren Sarkar(Head, FMS).
