The institute is committed to achieving total quality in the process of teaching and learning by using modern teaching tools and performance monitoring system for both students and teachers. The efficacy of the system is reflected by the statistics of the rich alumni who are well-placed in the top ranking companies in India and abroad.
The teaching methodology adopted is a judicious blend of conventional lectures using modern aids; discussions, seminars, field visits, educational tours, Video lectures, tutorials, i-classes etc. Technical training in industries has been incorporated in the teaching schedule to ensure that the knowledge of students is relevant to the requirements of our techno-economic environment and also to make the teaching comprehensive in all respects. Tutorials, class tests and home assignments are given to students. Regular monitoring and evaluation is done with the help of the EdRP which is developed in the institute itself as modern education resource planning. Scheme of examination is as per the guidelines laid down by the Chhattisgarh Swmai Vivekananda Technical University, to which the college is affiliated.

Content beyond Syllabus is USP of SSTC. This initiative includes several activities both academic and extra-curricular so as to develop Employability skills in our students, such as problem based learning based laboratory experiments; ICT laboratory classes; controlled Library classes; Online test practices; etc.

Education Methodology at SSTC: We provide the best of conceptual knowledge and practical application skills through pragmatic approaches. A strong multidisciplinary approach is followed to develop well-rounded personality and multifunctional skill base. High emphasis is given to creative thinking, ability to critically analyze and synthesize issues to take decisions and solve problems through scientific observation, quantitative reasoning, and logical reasoning. Lectures are reinforced by intensive lab work and tutorials together with assignments, projects and online learning. Special lecture series by distinguished personalities are arranged to keep students abreast of industry trends and research findings
