DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

The Department of Electrical Engineering was started from Joly 2007 with the intake of 60 students at UG level and 18 at PG level (M.E.-Power System Engineering). At present there are 15 qualified and experienced facolties in the Department.

Mission

  • To make the students learn Electrical engineering and Professional skills have field applications.
  • To create an environment of lifelong learning through innovations, research and development.
  • To create sense of responsibility, discipline and interest in various activities oltimately leading to service to the society.

Vision

  • To become one of the leading department in the institute as well national level. The electrical engineering program is designed to provide its graduates a solid educational foundation on which they can build successfol and sustainable careers in electrical engineering or in a related field.

PG Program

  • SSTC has been running M.E. program in Electrical Engineering since 2007-2008 with intake of 18 students. The program comprises of 4 semesters (6months each) with 5 theories and 2 practical labs in the first & second semesters. Third semester comprises of 2 theories and minor project & fourth semester is assigned for project work, which will definitely help the candidates to procure jobs in the industry.

Hardware & Software

  • The department has got very rich Labs with 1 Server machines, 2 Laptops and over 40 Computer Systems - all connected with 100 Mbps Ethernet LAN. Network is connected in Star Topology with Fiber Optic Backbone (1Gbps).

  • Broadening its student profile and providing further opportunities for participation through the development of more flexible course structures and modes of delivery.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)

The electrical engineering program is designed to provide its graduates a solid educational foundation on which they can build successfol and sustainable careers in electrical engineering or a related field. As a working definition of program educational objectives, we adopt the notion that program educational objectives are the desired attributes or achievements ofgraduates a few years after leaving institute.

The electrical engineering program educational objectives are:
