Department of Electronics & Telecommunication

The Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering was established in the year 2008 with the intake of 60 students at Under Graduate level which later on increased to 120 students in 2013 by AICTE. In the same year Post Graduate level Program with specialization in Digital Electronics was approved with intake of 18 students.

Message by HoD

Almost everything that surrounds us has direct link to Electronics, from the very computers we use whether it be laptops, netbooks or notebooks which has millions of tiny electronic components on it like resistors, inductors, capacitors, logic gates and the likes to the calculators, appliances, gizmos, measuring devices, and gadgets to name just a few. Electronics truly molded our lives we have today, for without it, we might as well grimacing in the shackles of underdevelopment and stagnant society where progress is hardly felt as if we are in an isolated islands. Electronics is the barometer of how far humans have gone through if we use the advancement in technology as a yardstick of progress. The dawn of the new wave of the future is bound to fascinate the world once again, the microchips which houses thousands to several millions of semiconductor components that makes our computers do their functions and features is expected to undergo major transformation in the near future. The nano-technology, IoT’s, SoCs and many other advanced technologies will soon sweep the world and will soon break barriers between possible and impossible. 

Our Objectives

  1. Prepare effective and responsible graduate engineers for global requirements by providing quality education.
  2. Upgrade existing labs of department and establishing Center of Excellence in various fields.
  3. To promote problem based learning in the department to meet requirements of industries.
  4. To strengthen sponsored Research Projects in collaboration with AICTE and DST.
  5. To motivate more faculties to Doctoral Program

Achievements

  1. Mr. Himanshu Yadav student of B.E final year has been selected for 6 months internship program jointly hosted by MIT Media Lab & TCS at Engineering Cluster Nashik.
  2. Ms.Anuradha Khalkho the student of B.E 6th semester presented a paper titled “Cell Phone Charging Through External Noise” at IIT Hyderabad.
  3. Mr. T. EshwarRao, Mr. Naveen Rangari,Mr. Md. Kaif Khan and Mr. Swapnil Ghosh, pre-final year B.E students secured 1st position in the event “Line Seguidos” conducted during the annual socio-techno-cultural festival “IGNUS 16” held at IIT Jodhpur during 25th – 28th Feb 2016.
  4. Miss. Madhuri Dewangan and Miss.Shashi Narmada of department successfully secured 5th & 10th positions in the University Merit List for academic session 2014-15.
  5. Miss. Shaishta Siddiqui secured 4th position in the University Merit List for academic session 2014-15.
  6. Overall 63 students of department have cracked various campus interviews and got successfully placed at various Organizations till date.
