Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (E&E)

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in the year 2001 with the intake of 120 students. The department is affiliated to Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University and is credited being in the first in state to be accredited by National board of Accreditation (NBA) of AICTE.

Message by HoD

It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to the Department of EEE. It is my proud privilege to brief you about the unique achievements of the Department due to which we are not only well known in the University, but in the entire Central India as a distinguished Centre of Learning. The department makes use of innovative practices in teaching and learning. The institute MIS (/EdRP) system provides rich resources such as Educational CDs prepared by faculties of IITs, Question Banks, online Tests, access to Books and Journals etc. to both faculty and students. In addition to this, there is a rich departmental library which contains an exhaustive collection of books and National and International journals.
The Department has established Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) with help of NSTEDB (DST), Govt. of India. The established center is the only center of its kind in state of Chhattisgarh for giving financial supports to innovative student Projects and Entrepreneurship Development. Every year best five innovative projects will be funded and guided by established IEDC. SIEMENS CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE has also been set up by the department. The Department to its credit has set up the First Testing Laboratory in the State of Chhattisgarh for Testing of Dissolved Gases in Transformer Oils. Some of the other significant testing facilities which the department provides are Calibration of single and 3-phase Energy meters upto 0.5 class, High voltage testing of Insulators upto 100 KV AC/DC, Breakdown voltage testing of transformer oil up to 60 KV etc.

Our Objectives

  1. To establish the department with academic freedom and autonomous culture.
  2. To educate our students to be knowledge creators for their brilliant future and prepare them to be industrious.
  3. Industry-Academia partnership for placements, internships, industrial visits & live projects.
  4. Imparting need based trade skills through vocational training in collaboration with SIEMENS.
  5. To motivate faculties to doctoral programme and to go for Intellectual Property Rights in form of patents & designs.
  6. To encourage entrepreneurial culture among students.
