A Little Contribution

Thousands of people lined up outside banks and ATMs across India on 16th Nov 2016, a day after a bank holiday left people stranded with no way to access cash or exchange money.The queues in front of ATMs were longer as people feared the machines will run out of money soon, a week after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the scrapping of Rs 1000 and Rs 500 notes to drain illegal cash from the economy.

 

A little contibution to fellow citizens from Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Medical Sciences (SSIMS).

A team of volunteers from Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Medical Sciences (SSIMS) served drinking water bottles to the citizens  who were waiting in long queues outside banks and ATMs to exchange and  withdraw their money following demonetisation of Rs.500 and Rs.1,000 notes by central government.Several volunteers also stood in queue for senior citizens so that the elderly could take some rest Volunteers also helped people with forms filling who were unable to do so.
